Renewable Energy for the Creation of a Balanced Ecological Carbon Agenda
On 20.2.2025, the contract for the project Renewable Energy for the Creation of a Balanced Ecological Carbon Agenda was signed. The project focuses on the energy sector and its outputs will contribute to measures to achieve climate neutrality targets.
It will be implemented by a consortium of 4 research organisations, three of which are members of the Centre of Excellence. The beneficiary is the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava and the partners are SFÉRA, a.s.; T - Industry, s.r.o.; Institute of Materials and Mechanics of Machines of the Slovak Academy of Sciences.
The project focuses on experimental proof of concept for decarbonisation of selected university buildings, by designing the integration of renewable energy system, simulation of "community energy" services, multiple use of primary energy in cogeneration sources, or its recycling for heating or cooling, with simultaneous education and behavioural change of teachers, staff and students, which will be verified analytically and experimentally in order to achieve a carbon-neutral future. The published results of the project, including methodologies, behavioural impacts of individuals, will provide a coherent set of recommendations and practices for society, organisations and institutions on how to approach the planning and implementation of actions to achieve climate neutrality goals.
The project is funded by the European Union under the NextGenerationEU instrument.
