Short description:
The project will implement independent research and development, industrial research and experimental development of new smart solutions responding to current trends and to the requirements of Directive 2018/2001 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 11 December 2018 on the promotion using of renewable energy and the need to ensure affordable, fault-free, quality and manageable energy using new energy technologies and services so-called "Renewable Energy Communities" (Community of Microgrids), which will enable companies to transform into a pro-active role and become a leader in the design of their energy economy and the relationship with the environment in order to expand knowledge in this area and better understand given topics.

General information about centre
The strategic goals of Centre of Excellence (CE) focus mainly on increasing quality of research institutes and excellent research in Slovakia, the realization of international research cooperation and the development of links between companies and research institutes in the field of research for the smart and secure information and communication systems.
CE focuses its activities on managing their own organizational structures with a focus on research areas and the sustainability of Centre of excellence. CE searches for new opportunities for progress and development of the research activity in the fields of energy and information and communication systems.
Essential part of research and development is divided into three cross-cutting themes:
- Energy and Smart grids
- Security and cryptography
- Big data
The results of their project activities are presented for specialists, commercial partners, and also a wide general public, thus encouraging awareness in this area.
